I am a VFX Supervisor, an Artist, a Photographer, a Producer / Director, and sometimes an Illusionist. After studying filmmaking and television production in college, I began my career in visual effects and digital film-production in 1995. Starting at Digital Muse, as a digital artist, I contributed to several TV projects, including “Titanic,” “Sliders,” and later on as a CG Supervisor on “Star Trek: Deep Space 9,” “Star Trek: Voyager” and several other TV series. I am also proud to say that I was the Digital Effects Supervisor for the “Hercules and Xena: Wizards of the Screen” theme park attraction at Universal Studios, Florida.

Since my years in episodic TV, I have worked at some of the most prestigious studios in Hollywood; including Rhythm and Hues (1999 – 2002) and at Digital Domain (2002 – 2009), as well as many amazing smaller boutiques along the way. My experience spans Feature Films, Episodic Television, and Commercials: Many, many commercials.

During my time at Digital Domain, I worked on and supervised, over 50 commercials, campaigns and projects. In 2005 I won a golden Clio for, “Nike, Unstoppable,” and I became a VFX supervisor. From then on I was responsible for overseeing every aspect of each project, from the initial bid, writing methodologies, supervising the shoot, the edit, color correction, all digital effects, animation and compositing, all the way through final post production, and delivery. I became known as the supervisor who could handle the most challenging projects. I used to say, “Everyday someone asks us to do the impossible… then we do it.”

After spending much of my early career as a CG Supervisor, Compositor, Editor, and later spending so much time on-set and interfacing directly with clients, I have acquired a unique set of skills that allows me advise our clients on how best to achieve an impossible shot, or how best to save thousands in production costs. I am a seasoned team leader, a “creative” director, and a “technical” advisor. My goal as an Illusionist and as a VFX Supervisor is always to, blow your mind, make it look effortless, and exceed your expectations.

“I knew from an early age that I would end up in VFX. When I was a kid I would watch old horror and sci-fi movies and think about making my own monsters and spaceships. As soon as I got my hands on a computer, that's exactly what I did.”
